Where did WHOLE SPIRITUAL come from?
Our lives are on loan with an unknown expiration date.
The existence of a loving God, is hard to make a definitive case for in left-brained, scientific materialism culture. It’s never watertight or certain. I choose to believe in Source (God) because so much of my perspective on life will be framed by my experience of this transcendent love.
Everybody collects scars from life. I am here to remind you to lean into those wounds as agents of liberation designed for your greatness. Those cracks in the foundation of your life (faith, relationships, health, career) were part of a seismic shift that needed to happen for your awakening and freedom. These scars is where the light shines through.
We pretend to be OK and hide our struggles and many of us try and make it alone. It can take years for us to come to the realization that the greatest strength is to Let Go of something or someone that is no longer in service to our highest good.
I was a Christian missionary science teacher, athletic coach and resident dorm director at a Christian International School in Southeast Asia, fresh out of graduate school seminary, with a heart full of love and excitement…when my own seismic shifts caused cracks in my own faith foundation. It happened to me in London in 1995 at the Museum of Natural History. More on that when we get to know each other.
Over the years, that process has led me through many seasons and permutations of faith and sometimes lack of faith.
Today, I have not thrown out the baby out with the religious bathwater. I believe in a transcendent Source and in some sense resonate with the teachings of Jesus, but honestly, I am agnostic (I don’t know) what Source actually is. The immensity and mystery is overwhelming.
I am sympathetic to atheists, agnostics, the spiritual-but-not-religious and the religious. For me personally, atheistic scientific reductionism and rigid religious dogma are two extremes I tend to steer away from these days.

In 2001, after surviving testicular cancer,
I experienced a moment that redefined everything. Standing in the shower, examining a surgical scar, I was struck by a sudden, overwhelming clarity: Being—whether we call it Spirit, God, or Source—is far more mysterious than I had ever imagined.
That realization freed me.
I learned to embrace the power of “I don’t know,” which dissolved old barriers of “us vs. them” and deepened my connection to humanity.
As my fundamentalist convictions eroded, I discovered the freedom to wander and wonder, to live in curiosity inside the questions rather than cling to rigid answers.
Out of that freedom came a promise to myself:
to live authentically and make a real difference in the lives of others.
Life is too short to settle for the expectations of others. The greatest regret of the dying is not having lived a life true to themselves.
I intend to avoid that regret.
You are not alone.
Begin your WHOLE SPIRITUAL journey today.
An evolving relationship to the divine mystery, faith, and belief is a healthy part of being human.
Leaving versions of religion that are high-control or toxic or simply no longer work for you, is a normal human process.
It can be a lonely path, but you don’t have to go it alone.
I would be honored to be your spiritual sherpa and walk with you on your own journey of discovery of Soul, Self and Service.
